Had the BJP wanted to give them Gorkhaland out of its political will, it could have done it like Jammu and Kashmir where Article 370 has been abrogated. As a result, people have decided to bring in proper development in the Hills by joining hands with the AITC."
Gurung, however, said the two leaders would not be seen in one platform in the coming days, but added that "in politics, anything can happen."
Tamang said that he would not divulge anything about the meeting now, and added that he met Gurung as he was the "guardian here." He also said that there had been a misunderstanding earlier due to political differences, but such misunderstanding was no longer there.
"My family is also happy and there is no fight between me and my wife. Do not spread rumours that I have an affair. If you have any proof, then do come forward with it," he said in the letter.

Speaking over the phone from Siliguri, Mr Tamang said, "During my visit to Kolkata on 19 September, I had taken up different issues in a letter to the CM, and I today again took up the issues with her."
