Almost all the exit polls have predicted a win for the RJD-led Grand Alliance, which has projected Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate.
'When Mr Nitish Kumar declares that this will be his 'last election' he has effectively conceded defeat,' P Chidambaram said on Twitter.

PM Modi has begun his back-to-back rallies from Chapra, a district which is believed to be the political bastion of Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Mentioning that the turnout was more than "previous assembly elections as well as Lok Sabha elections", Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha said the first phase of elections concluded "very peacefully" with a few "stray incidents".
At 3 pm, the Election Commission has registered 46.29 per cent voting in 16 districts with Jamui leading the turnout with 49.88 per cent voting, followed by Lakhisarai with 49.84 per cent voting. Buxar clocked a 48.91 per cent voting turnout, Aurangabad 48.69 per cent and Gaya 48.14 per cent.
As per trends till 1 pm, the Election Commission has registered 33.1 percent votes in these districts with the maximum 40.16 percent reported from Lakhisarai followed by 38.08 percent in Nawada, and 34.76 per cent in Buxar.
