After CBI's reported departure from Raipur, former Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has come down heavily on the agency and the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Central government.
This marks the second major enforcement action against the senior Congress leader this month, following an Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on March 10 in a separate money laundering investigation.
Conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the raids have ignited fierce protests from Congress workers and drawn accusations of political vendetta by the BJP government.
According to sources, the central probe agency has gathered that Chaitanya Baghel is also a recipient of proceeds from the multi-crore scam.
In the first phase, voting was held for 20 assembly constituencies and a voter turnout of 70.87 per cent was recorded till 5 pm.

Reacting to the BJP's allegations, Baghel said, "Whoever has sent the courier, why aren't you (BJP) catching him? Why is that person not being arrested? This means that the person responsible has colluded with both the BJP and the ED."
