The Khordha district, of which the capital Bhubaneswar is a part, registered the highest 401 cases in the last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack (382), Jajpur (292), Balasore (220), Mayurbhanj (174), Puri (161), Nayagarh (140), Bhadrak (136), Jagatsinghpur (131) and Angul (119).
Odisha now has 36,633 active cases while the number of recoveries stand at 8,40,214.
“We actually did not find any valid documents with them. Besides, they tried to evade our questions. At this moment our interrogation is going on and soon we will find more into the whole racket,” said the SDPO.
