All business establishments have been asked to ensure no overcrowding in their premises and adherence of Covid appropriate behaviour.
Rao during his visit to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) areas took stock of the slum development projects and paid visits to various slum clusters.
Currently, the city accounts for 1,887 active cases, the highest in the State. The city accounts for 17% of cumulative active cases across the State.
The BMC has also decided to expand drainage channels 7 and 10 on a priority basis to prevent water-logging in New Forest Park and Bairagi Nagar areas.
The BMC Commissioner has appreciated the gesture by CII during these pandemic times and said the medical equipment will help in saving precious lives.
“Considering the current pandemic situation and vaccination coverage, it is hereby decided that the persons who have been fully vaccinated will only be allowed inside any religious institution”, BMC in a notification issued on Tuesday stated.
The major highlight of the initiative lies in the fact that the members of the Mission Shakti Self Help Groups, federations, and slum dwellers associations lent their hands in its successful implementation.
