Chandrasekhar was brought to Anand Hospital on Tuesday after his condition suddenly deteriorated while he was being detained by the police in Deoband.
Chandrasekhar is presently admitted to the Anand Hospital where he was brought on Tuesday in a critical condition.
Azad was accompanied by Bheem Army's Saharanpur district president Kamal Walia, who is his close associate, and a few supporters when he was brought to the Anand hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
Many victims are fighting for their lives at different hospitals in Saharanpur and Meerut.
A crowd of angry Dalits gathered near the statue, demanding immediate arrest of those involved in the act.
Bheem Army had played a significant role in ensuring BJP's defeat in the recent Kairana byelections.
Addressing the rally in Bijnor, Chandrashekhar targetted the BJP calling it a “party of liars” and announced that Army leaders and workers would take out a ‘padyatra' to expose the saffron party.
Shortly after his release from jail after 15 months on 14 September morning, Chandrashekhar got a warm welcome not only from his supporters, primarily Dalits, but also many political and social personalities who came to meet him at his home in Chutmalpur town of Saharanpur district. They included some Muslim leaders as well.
