Curfew continued to be clamped for the fifth day on Monday in the Bhaderwah town of the Jammu division following communal incidents.
Deputy Commissioner along with Doda SSP reviewed the law and order situation across the district and also conducted round of Doda town.
The deputy commissioner of Doda imposed prohibitory orders in certain localities to prevent further worsening of the situation.
The J&K Congress unit also expressed serious concern over the desecration done with a view to hurting religious sentiments and creating hatred and trouble in the society.
Agitated people blocked the roads at several places, including the Seri Bazar. The road linking Bhaderwah with the district headquarters town of Doda has also been blocked. They were demanding immediate arrest of miscreants involved in desecration of the temple.
The mission promotes the cultivation of aromatic crops for essential oils that are in great demand by the aroma industry.
A record number of 2.15 lakh tourists have visited the scenic place during the three months between April and July so far this year, said Rajinder Khajuria, chief executive officer of the Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA).
Mobile internet services have been suspended as a precautionary measure following the incident to keep a check on rumour mongers.
