The film marks the comeback of Mithun Chakraborty to Bengali cinema after years and director Avijit Sen said it’s a dream project for him to work with the living legends.

The actor had got his first break in Tapan Sinha's Apanjan (1968). The film was set against the political turmoil in West Bengal in the 1960s.
