Save Green, stay clean, 3. Jol Dhoro Jol Bhoro. But all proposals were rejected. In 2017, the state had sent its tableau proposal for Unity in Harmony but it was rejected and chief minister Mamata Banerjee herself had said that it was cancelled deliberately and due to political reasons.
The decision to defer the election was taken after the state government wrote a letter to the Commission on Saturday morning that they do not have any objection if the SEC decides to postpone the election for another 4 to 6 weeks considering the Covid situation in the state.
