After organising the Poush Mela in Purbapally Ground in Santiniketan last year successfully, the Birbhum district administration is gearing up to organise the Basanta Utsav, this year.
He has informed that he has already sent his resignation letter to the Governor and the education minister Partha Chatterjee.
“The vulgarity at the hallowed seat of learning point to a systematic attempt by the TMC to break the backbone of the student community of the state,” said CPI-M central committee member and Left Legislature party leader Sujan Chakraborty.
