As per the guidelines laid down by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), all the banks will remain closed on January 1 on account of New Year's Day, Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
In addition to all these bank holidays, banks will like every year also remain shut on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
In Mumbai, not only banks, but the share markets too are closed on Monday.
