She resigned from her post and the Army flight she is traveling is seen in Indian airspace. She is reportedly landing in Delhi at 5 pm, sources said.
The move comes amid escalating concerns about the law and order situation in Bangladesh, which has prompted the BSF to bolster security measures in the bordering regions.
During the discussions that took place on Tuesday, Hasina appreciated India's contribution to Bangladesh's War of Liberation in 1971.
Apart from holding bilateral consultations with the PM, Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to call on President Murmu and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar during her two-day state visit.
PM Hasina further said, "We had declared a 10-day holiday. But it might be extended by a few more days".
Bangladesh and most other countries have already put unprecedented travel curbs to battle the pandemic.
On Wednesday, the Country announced fifth death related to COVID-19.
Karim said that Conte appreciated Bangladesh's management of the Rohingya crisis, adding that he encouraged Hasina to continue with the policy of hospitality.
The contentious CAA seeks to provide citizenship to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities who have faced religious persecution in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan and have arrived in India on or before December 31, 2014.
