During the ceremony, a beam of sunlight illuminated the forehead of Ram Lalla’s idol at 12 noon, creating a divine celestial tilak.
With elaborate security arrangements in place, thousands of devotees thronged the historic temples of Ayodhya to offer prayers on the first day of Chaitra Navratri.
The Goa government has announced the acquisition of a plot of land in the sacred city of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, for the construction of Goa Ram Nivas, a dedicated space for the devotees of Shri Ramlala Virajman, particularly from the state of Goa.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday highlighted the remarkable rise in Ayodhya’s spiritual prominence, stating that while only 2.34 lakh devotees visited the city in 2016-17, over 16 crore people are arriving to catch a glimpse of Lord Shri Ram in 2025.
Acharya Das said, "It is a moment of great happiness that Ram Lalla will finally take his throne at the grand temple."
Previously, when Lord Ram returned from exile, Diwali was celebrated in Ayodhya by lighting diyas. Now, after the completion of the consecration ceremony, Diwali will be celebrated again by lighting 'Ram Jyoti.'
80 daily buses between Lucknow and Ayodhya
Vishal Singh, Vice Chairman, Ayodhya Development Authority, said that Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, attracts numerous pilgrims annually who contribute to the generation of tons of floral waste by offering flowers in temples. To address this, the authorities have implemented a system where the collected flowers are sorted and transformed into certified natural incense sticks daily.
"Our generation is fortunate to have witnessed the struggles closely, and today, we are not only witnessing Lord Shri Ram seated in his grand temple but are also witnessing the emergence of the new Ayodhya in a new India," stated Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
