Congress's National General Secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Avinash Pandey, announced on Monday that a churning was underway within the party to strengthen it at the grassroots level for a major political fight in future.
Pandey noted that the people of Raebareli and Amethi have been associated with the Gandhi family for generations, adding that the sentiments of Congress leaders and workers have been conveyed to the central leadership.
The move comes days after Pilot called it a truce with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot ending weeks-long revolt that pushed the state government to the brink.
