The Maharashtra police on Tuesday said it has "strong" evidence against the arrested accused in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, even as it stated that a facial recognition test would be conducted to match the identity of the accused in police custody with the one captured in the CCTV footage recovered from the actor's residential complex.
A man suspected to be a Bangladeshi national has been arrested for allegedly attacking actor Saif Ali Khan at his residence, Mumbai Police said on Sunday morning. The accused has been identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad (31).
Twenty four hours after an intruder attacked actor Saif Ali Khan, the police have failed to make any arrest in the case so far, according to a statement issued by the police on Friday.
