Padma Vibhushan Dr Anil Kakodkar, former Chair, Atomic Energy Commission has emphasised the dual challenge of meeting India's developmental needs while combating the climate crisis.
While stressing on the lowering of energy cost, Dr Kakodkar said that the exponential increase of clean and green energy should primarily come from solar, wind and nuclear energy, said a senior officer of the Department of Science and Technology here on Wednesday.
'Nuclear energy is a source of energy to meet the rising demands of the country and it is an instrument of ease of living in one's day to day life,' said Minister of State for Atomic Energy, Jitendra Singh.
