Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Atishi wrote a letter to the Election Officer of Delhi, alleging that Delhi Police is trying to close the complaint against BJP workers who allegedly intimidated AAP volunteers on January 21 and 22 and sought transfers of accused police officials.
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday accused the Delhi Police of disrupting his poll campaigning on the instructions of the BJP-led central government ahead of the February 5 assembly polls.
Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Wednesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of creating an atmosphere of "terror" in the Kalkaji assembly constituency, levelling serious allegations of "hooliganism" and use of "profanity" against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers by Ramesh and his associates.
In a communication to the election officials, she urged the poll officers to take immediate action against the saffron party workers and also deploy security forces across the Kalkaji assembly constituency to ensure safety and security of AAP volunteers.
Highlighting the importance and the power of a vote, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said on Monday that elections are an extremely crucial occasion when a person casts his/her vote that will have an impact on the next five years.
Expressing gratitude to Kejriwal, Atishi thanked him for entrusting her with the significant responsibility of caring for the city's residents.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Saturday asserted that people of the national capital had finally been liberated from Arvind Kejriwal after Atishi took oath as the new Chief Minister.
After taking oath as Delhi Minister, AAP leader Gopal Rai while speaking to a news agency stated, "This team belongs to Arvind Kejriwal and its target is to take further the works started by him like combating air pollution in the upcoming winter is one such target. ”
