Delhi Government has approved the appointment of 232 Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) qualified doctors in its hospitals, an important development concerning the city's healthcare sector.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Thursday said that Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has proven that quality education can uplift the life of the poor children, ensuring they no longer remain trapped in poverty.
Atishi's allegations followed after her visit to the parents of a 28-year-old who was allegedly murdered in Sunder Nagari area of North East Delhi last week.
In a step forward towards the adoption of renewable energy, Chief Minister Atishi, on Wednesday, launched the ‘Solar Portal’ to make rooftop solar installations accessible and convenient for the residents with an aim to achieve 25 per cent of the city's total energy consumption through solar power by 2027.
After taking oath as Delhi Minister, AAP leader Gopal Rai while speaking to a news agency stated, "This team belongs to Arvind Kejriwal and its target is to take further the works started by him like combating air pollution in the upcoming winter is one such target. ”
As a cabinet minister, she has held multiple portfolios including, Revenue, Water, PWD, Education, and others, and is also considered a driving force behind the reforms in the field of education, being instrumental in revamping the state government schools, by giving them a new outlook.
Saurabh Bharadawaj ,who took oath today as Cabinet Minister, represents Greater Kailash constituency as an MLA has been a prominent face of the Aam Aadmi Party since its inception in 2012 . He has been vocal in raising issues related to the party and the Delhi government.
Other than the CM, five cabinet ministers were also sworn in alongside her, as Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena administered their oath.
“In times to come, the BJP will conspirire with the LG to make electricity expensive in Delhi. I promise on behalf of the AAP and Arvind Kejriwal that we will not let the price of electricity increase in the national capital," she asserted.
