Delhi police have geared up for the smooth conduct of the assembly polls with adequate security measures ensuring the security of nominees carrying out rallies and road shows, as well as strict enforcement of the model code of conduct.
Nine nominations have been filed on Friday, on the first day of filing of nominations for the February 5 Assembly polls in Delhi.
The meeting, chaired by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, was attended by senior officers from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, and J&K.
Ahead of the Delhi assembly elections, the BJP has sought suggestions from the residents of the city to be included in its ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto). The suggestions can be made through phone and email.
Leaders of the JD(U), BJP and smaller partners Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Rashtriya Lok Morcha and Hindustani Awam Morcha met at Kumar’s 1, Anne Marg residence for the meeting.
