In a significant electoral overhaul, Assam braces for its first polls under the revamped parliamentary constituencies, slated for April 19.
Sarma said that it is a kind of appeasement politics towards the Muslim society which Congress leaders are indulging for long.
"There is no such thing as CAA; To date, only one person from Barak Valley has filed for citizenship under CAA,” Sarma clarified.
On the face of it, the decision is sound and in keeping with the National Education Policy 2023 that primary education is to be imparted in the mother tongue, which is the language spoken by the child at home.
