In a significant crackdown on illegal activities along the Indo-Myanmar border, a joint operation by the Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police resulted in the seizure of a substantial cache of war-like materials.
The incident took place around 8:30 am when a vehicle-mounted patrol comprising three Assam Rifles vehicles, traveling from Changlang to Margherita, was ambushed by unidentified individuals near Namdhang, an official said.
Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelen K said that the incident took place at a place called Changlangshu.
