The Pakistani newspaper said Zardari had 'fallen ill due to the exertion and exhaustion from travelling for court appearances and the budget session'.
"Your time has come as well. You know that after the next three months you will be behind the bars," the premier said.
On Wednesday, Zardari was granted bail on medical grounds by a court in two corruption cases.
The court had on December 4 constituted a medical board to examine Zardari's health condition and directed it to submit its report.
Zardari questioned on the rostrum why he wasn't allowed to meet his daughter Aseefa Bhutto Zardari despite the court's permission.
Zardari, who was President from 2008 till 2013, was earlier imprisoned on separate corruption charges in the 1990s and early 2000s.
