The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has greenlit a USD 400 million policy-based loan aimed at bolstering urban services in India under Subprogram 2 of the Sustainable Urban Development and Service Delivery Program.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Monday said it has approved a $350 million special policy-based loan to provide budget support to Sri Lanka for the stabilisation of its crisis-hit economy.

The loan amount will focus on immediate priorities such as disease containment and prevention, as well as social protection for the poor and economically vulnerable sections of the society, especially women and disadvantaged groups.

The financial support will be given to selected companies within weeks via ADB's Supply Chain Finance Program.
Further, it has also cut the estimate for the next fiscal, FY 2020-21 to 6.5 per cent from 7.2 per cent.
"The ADB would give 80 per cent of the amount as grant-in-aid and the Tripura Government would have to repay back only 20 per cent loan in due course of time."
