The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a USD 25 million debt with VA Tech Wabag Limited (Wabag) to support sanitation and water security through the development of new sewage treatment plants in India.
The main purpose of the centre is to undertake research and studies for better resource mobilisation, public expenditure rationalisation.
ADB note stated that green-certified buildings can be more expensive to build, which has limited their uptake among homebuyers and developers in India.
The Minister assured of all support to the team of ADB and said that there would be monthly review meetings on the matter.
“Computerized maintenance and management systems will be introduced to advance the system operation and asset management while ensuring users’ satisfaction”, added Konishi.
ADB Country Director for India Takeo Konishi said thanks to various interventions especially in the health sector, India is poised to see a fast recovery from the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic.
