The acceptance of RuPay and UPI cards means Apple users in India will be able to use the domestic payment systems as alternatives to regular credit or debit card payment methods to add funds to their Apple ID balance.
The company had advised users who used the apps to switch to using its "Photoshop Express Photo Editor", which requires either a monthly or yearly subscription for deeper photo editing.
Since then, the app has been downloaded more than 6 million times and has grown to a team of more than 40 people.
In 2020, nearly 1 million problematic new apps, and an additional nearly 1 million app updates, were rejected or removed for a range of reasons like those.
The developers in its new small business programme now receive 15 per cent more from sales of their apps on App Store.
"Apple anticipates that the updated Parler app will become available immediately upon Parler releasing it," Apple's letter said.
Apple doesn't disclose how much revenue its App Store makes per year.
