After almost a gap of two years, Anubrata Mondal is back at the centrestage of Birbhum politics. He has been inducted into the core committee of Trinamul Congress unanimously by the members, thus expanding the membership to seven after the meeting today.
After almost two years, Anubrata Mondal is present at the famous Kali Puja in the TMC party office in Bolpur. Several female supporters gathered at the party office and drew rangoli for the puja.
Anubrata Mondal walked into the party office after two years on Wednesday, the Trinamul Congress has made it clear that the core committee will continue to run the party organization in the district.
Anubrata Mondal, the Birbhum district president of Trinamul Congress has got bail from the Rouse Court in Delhi today in the cross-border cattle smuggling case by the Enforcement Department.
The CBI has informed the court today that several indiscriminate bank documents have been seized, including 330 accounts, which need to be investigated.
In fact, the CBI made an appeal to the special court for permission to question Mondal within the correctional home premises. On Tuesday, as directed by the court, the state police also handed over the documents and case diary relating to the fresh attempt to murder case to the ED.
The Rouse Avenue court in Delhi had on Monday issued a production warrant for Mr Mondal on a plea of the ED in connection with the West Bengal cattle smuggling money laundering case.
