Anissia Batra (39), who worked with a German airline, allegedly jumped from the terrace of her house on 13 July in south Delhi's Panchsheel Park.
Batra committed suicide on 13 July. Her family claimed that Singhvi used to physically abuse her and also accused his parents of harassing her for dowry.
Anissia’s parents have accused Mayank of harassing her for dowry, and alleged that he abused her physically since the beginning of their marriage.
Mayank Singhvi was interrogated for an hour before being arrested and would be produced before a magistrate on Tuesday
Days before her death, Anissia’s father, a retired Major General, filed a police complaint stating that she was being tortured by her husband and in-laws
