Former Niti Aayog CEO and India's G20 Sherpa, Amitabh Kant, on Sunday said Indians must work hard to achieve the ambitious target of making India a USD 30 trillion economy by 2047.
India’s G20 Sherpa and former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on Friday said the artificial intelligence race will not be won by those who build high cost models, but by those who will democratize technology, use open source and cost competitive models.
He noted that India continues to be the fastest-growing large economy in the world and is the fifth-largest economy.
While addressing an event organised by the All India Management Association, Kant said that India needs to grow at 9-10 per cent year after year for the next three decades.
The release of the second edition of the index—the first was launched in October 2019—demonstrates the Government’s continued commitment towards transforming the country into an innovation-driven economy.
Regrettably, post budget, not even the otherwise included Indian is happy about the economy, especially since, by July 10, some $ 30 billion had been wiped off Indian stocks.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Kant has been given an extension as CEO NITI Aayog for a period of two years.
Congress had alleged that PMO was misusing Niti Aayog and asking it to write letters to the district administrations and seeking details such as the cultural significance of the place.
HCL Grant has so far committed Rs 35 crore (US$5.4 million) towards rural development aiming to reach over 900,000 people.
