Though Bandopadhyay has refused to comment on the issue, sources close to the Chief Minister said that Banerjee is not happy with the development and indications are ripe that Bandopadhyay might not be released by the state.
Inclusion of around 2.50 crore beneficiaries under the ‘Sasthya Sathi’ health scheme, which has recently been made available for all people, will be done through this outreach programme.
Bandopadhyay will retain the charge of the departments of commerce and industry, MSME and parliamentary affairs while Bhattacharya will remain the secretary of tourism department.
