A day after polling concluded for nine assembly by-elections, Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav wrote a letter on Thursday thanking the people of Uttar Pradesh for maintaining their morale despite alleged administrative pressure during voting.
“Earlier, engines were colliding; now, even the coaches of the so-called ‘double-engine government’ are clashing. After the Maharashtra elections, their own people will undermine the foundations of those who raised hollow slogans,” he remarked.
He said that those who gave the slogan 'One Nation, One Election' are now unable to even conduct a single examination, despite promising to hold record examinations.
The SP chief said despite all its efforts, the BJP government failed the break agitating students and had to bow in front of them passing the buck to the officials of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.
" Akhilesh Yadav needs a slave who is deaf and dumb and only says yes to his words," he alleged.
Though the main confrontation is between Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and SP President Akhilesh Yadav, other leaders have joined in the tussle.
Even after claiming that he never said anything about any saint, the Samajwadi Party president continued his tirade against Yogi Adityanath.

Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yadav said: "I thank the PDA family for the victory of the Samajwadi Party and INDI Alliance in UP. PDA is not just a slogan for us but has emerged as a sentiment.
