A day after polling concluded for nine assembly by-elections, Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav wrote a letter on Thursday thanking the people of Uttar Pradesh for maintaining their morale despite alleged administrative pressure during voting.
“Earlier, engines were colliding; now, even the coaches of the so-called ‘double-engine government’ are clashing. After the Maharashtra elections, their own people will undermine the foundations of those who raised hollow slogans,” he remarked.
He said that those who gave the slogan 'One Nation, One Election' are now unable to even conduct a single examination, despite promising to hold record examinations.
The SP chief said despite all its efforts, the BJP government failed the break agitating students and had to bow in front of them passing the buck to the officials of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.
He added that the district magistrate of Ambedkar Nagar was working like the district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, who was present during the nomination filing of his cousin Tej Pratap Yadav for Karhal assembly bypoll on Monday, expressed confidence that Tej Pratap would win by a significant margin.
