Indian men’s hockey team confident of winning a medal in Tokyo Olympics: Akashdeep Singh

Akashdeep further pointed out that spotting and nurturing of talent across the country has been a big boost for the national hockey team.

It was goals by striker Akashdeep Singh (3') and drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh (50') that ensured India returned home with a medal.

The victory juggernaut of the Indian hockey team crashed in the fourth match of the HWL Semis.

This was India's third consecutive win in the tournament as they defeated Canada and Scotland in past.

A slip up against Malaysia can leave India stranded and Great Britain can overtake them.

With this win, India now have four points from two outings.
