Pawar was reacting to the call given by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to the party functionaries to strive for the BJP to form the government solo in the state after the 2029 Assembly election.
Pawar at the special meeting with the party legislators also said that the NCP has already reached an understanding with the BJP and Shiv Sena whereby the party will get 54 seats which it had won in the 2019 Assembly election.
A buzz was sparked in the political corridors of Maharashtra after NCP president and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that he has contested elections 7 to 8 times, and therefore, he is not keen to test his electoral fortunes in the upcoming Assembly polls from Baramati.
