Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had on Wednesday announced that domestic flights will recommence in a 'calibrated manner' from Monday, two months after commercial airlines ceased operations in view of the Coronavirus pandemic.
There are over 100 airports that come under the authority of the Airports Authority of India, which works under the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
“We have not decided on which airports will be put on the block. But soon a list of such airports will be made and handed over to the civil aviation ministry,” said outgoing Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of AAI Guruprasad Mohapatra.
Currently, the airports being managed under the PPP model include Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Cochin.
