Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta informed that her government has begun implementing stringent measures to tackle air pollution in the city and a campaign is being launched to improve the city's air quality on a large-scale.
According to the latest analysis from the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA), Delhi has once again topped the charts as the most polluted city in India during the winter months of October 2024 to February 2025.

Environment Minister Gopal Rai said while the contribution of stubble burning to air pollution is likely to be less this time, the air pollution might still go up in the wake of unfavourable weather conditions.
"Instead of telling what measures the government is taking to solve the problem, it is now saying new things every day,” said Delhi BJP President.
Delhi's air quality continues to remain 'Poor' with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 249 on Friday morning, as per the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR)-India.
