The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to British national Christian Michel James, middleman accused in the Rs 3,600 crore AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam involving the purchase of 12 VVIP helicopters, in the criminal case being prosecuted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Union Minister for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh on Monday launched the ‘Srjanam’ biomedical waste conversion rig at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, marking a significant milestone in the management of biomedical waste.
The five-member team of experts from AIIMS Delhi spoke to 11 patients undergoing treatment and recorded their clinical history.

According to the union, Nursing Officer Harish Kumar Kajla was suspended with immediate effect on Monday night in view of the April 22 incident of disrupting OT patient services.

Dr Bhargava is the senior most among all 32 persons. His mother, Dr Sneh Bhargava, radiologist and medical academic, also held the post of director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi from 1984-1990. She has been the first and the only female Director of the AIIMS so far.
