Amid the protests, the Railways has partially cancelled 20 trains and short-terminated five trains till September 26.
'I want to make it clear that the new agriculture laws are not against mandis, work will remain same in the agricultural mandis,' PM said.
'For decades, the Indian farmer was bound by various constraints and bullied by middlemen. The bills passed by Parliament liberate the farmers from such adversities,' PM said.
Opposition lacked the numbers to block the bills and had demanded that the bills be sent to a select committee for further discussion.
‘If it just a rumour on MSP, why did a minister of the government resigned?’, asked Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena.
