According to the villagers of Sikrara under the Fatehabad police station, the bus moving with a fairly good speed hit the truck from the rear side as the driver of the bus failed to see the vehicle in front of it due to dense fog.
The double-decker bus with about 50 passengers on board was heading to Delhi from Lucknow.
Meanwhile, a transport official said that apart from speeding, the increase in heat wave conditions was causing tyre bursts which leads to accidents.
According to reports, the police said that the accident occurred after the driver of the Volvo bus lost control while trying to avoid a collision with the tractor trolley and turned turtle.
