Taking a potshot at the BJP government, Singh said that the "Saffron Brigade" has been experimenting with the country by bringing "freakish laws and anti-people policies".
"Recruitment in the armed forces should be viewed with patriotism and not employment. There should be no politics on this," said Himachal Congress MLA Vikramaditya Singh.
The scheme is called AGNIPATH and the youth selected under this scheme will be known as Agniveers. AGNIPATH allows patriotic and motivated youth to serve in the Armed Forces for a period of four years.
Sawant said that after completing four years of service, they would get 25 per cent reservation to continue their service in defence.
Khattar said the youth of the state have the zeal to serve the country and this is the reason that Haryana has the highest number of youth-serving in the Army.
