The impasse between the BJP and the Opposition continued on the fourth consecutive day of the second phase of Budget Session with charges being traded over the allegations against the Adani group and Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks in London.
Carrying placards, MPs from different political parties, led by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, shouted slogans against the Modi Government demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to probe into the Adani saga.
Congress MP in Lok Sabha Manish Tewari has given an adjournment notice on the freedom of speech of MPs.
The apex court was hearing a batch of pleas in connection with the Hindenburg report controversy.
“If you see the body language of both of us, you will know where the truth lies,” the senior Congress leader said.
Participating in the debate on the motion of thanks to the President for her address to the joint session of Parliament, the Congress president asked, ''when the government is not afraid of anything then constitute a JPC''.
