The AAP on Monday claimed that drug abuse is on the rise in the national capital and demanded action from Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on the same lines as Punjab.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday criticized the BJP-led government over the law and order situation in the national capital, stating that it has “completely collapsed” under the ruling dispensation.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday responded to AAP's allegations on Delhi government over the women's scheme, stating that the opposition leaders are unable to respond to Punjab and are making irrational statements out of political frustration.
Sachdeva said that while needy women in Delhi are hopeful about receiving the honorarium soon, it is unfortunate that AAP leaders continue to make irresponsible statements on the matter.
This suppression of vital information obstructs transparency and prevents proper scrutiny of the government's actions and expenditures, raising serious questions about financial propriety, they added.
“The AAP has no interest in Delhi's development. For 18 months, they prevented the formation of the Standing Committee (MCD), thus halting Delhi's developmental activities. Not only this, they also destroyed the cleanliness system of Delhi,” he said.
Reacting to the return of its councilor Ramchandra back to the party after he had recently joined the BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party said on Thursday that his coming back is a blow to the saffron party which had tricked him three days ago.
The councillor from ward no 38 Janakpuri (South), Ram Chandra, rejoined AAP in presence of senior party leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh.
Citing a report by the Delhi's chief secretary, Gupta claimed that due to the alleged corruption in state government, the balance sheets of the DJB for the years 2021-22 and 2022-23 have not been prepared hampering CAG audit.
