South Korea has one of the best fifth-generation (5G) communications network infrastructures among the member states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), a report showed on Wednesday.
Nokia has signed a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar extension agreement with Bharti Airtel to deploy 4G and 5G equipment across Indian cities, the telecom major informed the exchanges on Wednesday.
Almost 750 million additional people were covered by 5G in 2023 and more than half of that was due to rollouts by operators in India alone, a new GSMA report said on Wednesday.

Jio is now the only operator to provide True-5G services across the entire Delhi-NCR region, including Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and other major locations.

Bharti Airtel and Qualcomm have already collaborated for accelerating 5G in the country. Airtel and Qualcomm are enabling a wide array of use cases, including 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) which is designed to deliver broadband connectivity at Gigabit speeds to homes and businesses.
