Four rounds under the hammer of the 5G spectrum auction were finished on Tuesday, which saw telecom operators - Reliance Jio, Adani Group, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea bid for the spectrum.
The report said that the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) indicates that Bharti and RJio may be interested in spending 2-3x the renewal requirement in other bands and Vodafone Idea has limited options given its liquidity position.
The minister said that the government will put on auction 2,251 MHz of spectrum in the frequency bands of 700 MHz, 800Mhz, 900 Mhz, 2100 Mhz, 2300 Mhz and 2500 MHz.
Telecom Secretary Anshu Prakas further added that the auction will entail sale of over 8300 MHz of spectrum spread over all 22 telecom circles.
Huawei products are essential for the development and overall growth of the Indian wireless ecosystem.
