Private 5G captive networks are about the deployment of high speed, enhanced data capacity, and ultra-low latency applications inside a closed manufacturing unit, hospital, airport and shipping port, among others.
Four rounds under the hammer of the 5G spectrum auction were finished on Tuesday, which saw telecom operators - Reliance Jio, Adani Group, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea bid for the spectrum.
Although Bharti Airtel along with Jio maintained the lead after the fourth round of government-initiated auction for 5G spectrum allocation there was no clear outcome till the closing of the day. Bidding would continue on wednesday.
The Department of Telecom (DoT) intends to auction 5G spectrum sometime this year after having already missed its 2019 deadline.
