4th Ashes Test: Steve Smith immovable as Australia edge closer to draw

At tea, Smith was advancing on his 23rd Test century on 87 in 361 minutes with Shaun Marsh not out 10.

The tourists grabbed the wickets of David Warner and Shaun Marsh in the final half-hour.

The opener bounced back after a lean run of scores to finish the day unconquered on 244 off 409 balls.

The veteran opener, back in the runs after a lean run, had a let-off on 153 to reach 173 not out at tea.

The 151-Test opener, resuming on an overnight 104, took his score to 134 off 244 balls at lunch.

In the process of raising his century Warner brought up 6,000 runs in his 70th Test.
