The Opposition has agreed to support Om Birla for Speaker but they have demanded Deputy Speaker's post in return.
Modi said that the country needs a responsible opposition.
For the first three days of the session from 24th June, only Lok Sabha will sit for oath and affirmation of its newly elected members. On the third day, on the 26th June, the new Lok Sabha Speaker will be elected.
The 264th Session of Rajya Sabha will commence on June 27, the minister added.
