Homoeopathy: Old vs new concept

Contemporary homoeopathy has incorporated scientifically advanced methods, eliminating the notion of sluggishness associated with traditional practices. Presently, homoeopathic remedies are being effectively utilised for a wide range of ailments including cancer, liver cirrhosis, and kidney failure. Notably, these treatments boast a remarkable absence of side effects, underscoring one of their most significant advantages.

Dr Soumallya Chattopadhyay, director of the DNC Health Hub, said, “I don’t feel that today’s homoeopathy can only be used for a common cough, cold, or sprain in your ankle. Today’s homoeopathy is not only driven by signs and symptoms without accepting the pathological basis of a disease. With the advancement of pathology, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, particle mechanics, etc., new concepts are evolving in homoeopathy. As per metadata analysis, it is hypothesised that homoeopathy can make positive modifications to genes by which we can achieve permanent cures for even chronic diseases.”

According to his opinion today, homoeopathy is showing a promising future for the treatment of chronic kidney diseases (CKD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), allergic diseases like asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, etc.; problems of joints like rheumatoid arthritis (RA), ankylosing spondylitis, etc.; diseases of the liver like fatty liver, cirrhosis of the liver, etc.; diseases of the GI system like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), ulcerative colitis (UC), etc.; gynaecological problems of a woman like polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), endometriosis, adenomyosis, etc.

“Homoeopathy also shows true efficiency in the treatment of palliative oncology. Lists are too big. I think that it is hard to know about homoeopathy in a better way, believe in homoeopathy, and take advantage of homoeopathy by using it,” Dr Chattopadhyay added.
