While fans and fellow cricketers bid adieu to the legend, many Bollywood celebrities took to social media to show their love for the cricketer. Many penned heartfelt messages along with pictures from Yuvraj’s career and others thanked him for playing the sport to the best of his ability.
Varun Dhawan took to Twitter to write, “Thank u @YUVSTRONG12 for all the memories and always being a great ambassador of the game #yuvrajsinghretires.”
Ayushmann Khurrana wrote, “Thank you @YUVSTRONG12 pa for being a perfect role model. A real fighter on and off field. Wishing you the best in life.” Yuvraj thanked the Vicky Donor actor for his message.
Anushka Sharma wrote, “Thank you for the memories @YUVSTRONG12 . You’ve been a warrior and inspiration to so many. I wish you the best in the next inning of your life.”
Yuvraj replied to Anushka by calling her, ” Rosie Bhabhi.” He wrote, “Thank you Rosie Bhabhi god bless you always.”
Post commenting fans and netizens posted questions about Rosie Bhabhi and what Yuvraj Singh meant by that.
To answer fans’ questions, Rosie Bhabhi is a reference to a character Rosie Noronha, that Anushka Sharma played in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet in 2015.
At that point when the actress shared a collage picture of herself (on Instagram) from the film as part of promotional activity, Yuvraj Singh had commented, “Oye Hoye Rosie bhabhi! Looking Awesome.”
