In the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final clash between India and New Zealand, Indian bowlers dominated the Kiwi batsmen. However, fighting innings from Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor ensured that they post a decent total to give India a contest.
Both the batsmen went on to score their half-centuries with Ross Taylor still out there in the middle. The match will now be played on the reserve day (Wednesday) and the Kiwis will resume from the same score with no deduction of overs.
New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson shone with the bat scoring a fighting 67 before being removed by leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. However, Ross Taylor is still out there in the middle and would look to propel the Kiwis to the 250 run mark in this crucial World Cup encounter.

India will qualify for the finals on account of finishing with more points in the league stage. New Zealand, on the other hand, will be out of the tournament.

It is to be noted here that if New Zealand cannot come out to bat their remaining overs, India’s 20-over target would be 148 while their Duckworth Lewis Stern (DLS)-adjusted target for 46 overs would be 237.
