In the final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2018, Bangladesh skipper Salma Khatun won the toss and invited Harmanpreet Kaur-led India to bat first at the Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday.
On Sunday, six-time champions and tourney favourites Women-in-Blue will aim to clinch their seventh consecutive title. On the other hand, Bangladesh will aim to win their maiden Women’s Asia Cup title by defeating the defending champions India.
Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur’s squad qualified in the final by crushing arch-rival Pakistan by seven wickets, while Bangladesh outclassed hosts Malaysia by 70 runs in their final league tie to set their date with the Indian squad.
In the final, India will be wary of Bangladesh’s prowess, especially after having lost to them in the league stages and would aim to avenge the humiliation enroute to their seventh consecutive title.
